What the Seguridad Social exams involve
The Administración de la Seguridad Social recruits through the Ministerio de Inclusión, Seguridad Social y Migraciones, and its two general corps are convoked separately. The Cuerpo de Gestión (subgrupo A2) is convoked by the Resolución de 22 de diciembre de 2025 (BOE-A-2025-27067), offering 526 plazas by turno libre and 995 by promoción interna. The Cuerpo Administrativo (subgrupo C1) is convoked by the Resolución of the same date (BOE-A-2025-27158, corrected by BOE-A-2026-5351), offering 1,056 plazas by turno libre and 400 by promoción interna.
Two separate exams, not one exam with two levels
These are two independent selection processes with their own convocatoria, their own programme and their own exercise format — they are not two tracks of a single exam. Their Seguridad Social content genuinely overlaps, since both rest on the same Ley General de la Seguridad Social, but the two programmes are independently written and independently numbered, and the general-law content differs in both depth and scope. Their plaza counts should never be added into a single headline figure.
What does the Cuerpo de Gestión exam involve?
A first exercise of 90 multiple-choice questions on the full 82-tema programme, scored 0–50 with 25 to pass, in 90 minutes. The second exercise is entirely written: up to four essay answers chosen from five offered by the board, plus an eight-question supuesto práctico, both read aloud in public session and graded on legal reasoning and written expression. Those written parts are worth the other 50 of the 100 total points, and this app does not cover them — no app can grade free prose against a human rubric. For promoción interna the first exercise is 60 questions restricted to Bloque VIII, the Seguridad Social block.
What does the Cuerpo Administrativo exam involve?
A single exercise in two parts, both compulsory and both eliminatory, within 120 minutes: a first part of 70 multiple-choice questions on Anexo I.A and I.B together, and a second part of 15 multiple-choice questions resolving a supuesto práctico drawn from Anexo I.B. Each part is scored 0–50 and needs 25, and the second part is only marked if the first reaches 25. Because both parts are multiple-choice, this app covers the whole 100 points. For promoción interna the two parts are 50 and 12 questions, both restricted to Anexo I.B.
How is the exam scored?
Each corps applies its own penalty, and the two differ. Gestión deducts one third of a correct answer's value for a wrong one (BOE-A-2025-27067, §6.3.1: «descontando un tercio del valor de una respuesta correcta»). Administrativo deducts one quarter (BOE-A-2025-27158, §6.2.2.c: «un cuarto»). In both exams a blank answer costs nothing, so skipping a question you cannot reason out is strictly better than guessing. The app applies each corps' own fraction rather than one shared rule.
How many options does each exam offer per question?
Gestión offers three («tres respuestas alternativas»); Administrativo offers four («cuatro respuestas alternativas»). Both figures are stated explicitly in each convocatoria's own text. This app writes every question with four options, including those tagged for Gestión, because a four-option question can be honestly reduced but a three-option one cannot gain a fourth distractor without inventing unsourced content. The practical effect is that the Gestión mock is slightly harder than the real exam — a blind guess pays 1 in 4 rather than 1 in 3 — never easier. We would rather state that plainly than quietly present a format the convocatoria does not use.
What is not covered?
Three things, all disclosed in the app itself. Gestión's second exercise (50 of its 100 points) is free-text and oral, and cannot be graded by an app. Tema 12 of the Administrativo programme's Anexo I.A — the Ministry's own current organisation chart — is deliberately unauthored: a ministry's internal structure changes with each reorganisation and has no consolidated BOE text to cite, so we declare the gap rather than fill it with unsourced questions. Gestión's subsequent curso selectivo is a training period rather than a content test and has no multiple-choice form at all.

- 2026-08-13 Initial 577-question pack across both corps (240 Seguridad Social, 85 constitucional/UE, 72 administrativo, 45 laboral, 45 financiera, 40 función pública, 25 civil, 25 mercantil) plus 164 flashcards, written from the consolidated BOE texts with a per-question citation gate and cross-model QA. Both convocatorias' scoring, option counts and mock structure were verified against the fetched BOE text directly, including a separate fetch of the correction resolution BOE-A-2026-5351 — the original convocatoria still prints the superseded 1.001-plazas figure, so the corrected 971 was read from the correction itself. Uses four exam_tracks, one per corps and access route.
- 2026-08-13 Added 8 questions on «lesiones permanentes no incapacitantes» (LGSS arts. 201-203), taking the pack to 585. The topic had no coverage at all while the neighbouring incapacidad permanente carried 18 questions. It surfaced through BOE-A-2026-5352, the Gestión convocatoria's own corrección de errores, which renames Anexo I tema 60 from «no invalidantes» to «no incapacitantes» and had not previously been recorded in this page's source chain — both convocatorias carry a correction, not only Administrativo's BOE-A-2026-5351. The pack used neither wording, so no published figure was wrong; the gap was in coverage, not accuracy.
- 2026-08-20 Corrected the published question count. The pack has carried 752 questions since the 136-question W7 integration and the 31-question transparencia y gobierno abierto block landed; the page still said 585, the figure from 2026-08-13. The Seguridad Social block figure moves from 240 to 248 for the same reason, and the three cross-cutting blocks both programmes carry — equality, data protection, and transparency and open government — are now named alongside the general legal content. No exam fact, scoring rule or coverage disclosure changed; only the counts, which had drifted behind the pack.
What this app does not cover
- The Gestión corps's second exercise (up to four written answers chosen from five offered, plus an eight-question supuesto práctico, both read aloud in public session before the board) has no multiple-choice questions: this app cannot grade free-text answers, so those 50 of the 100 total points are not covered.
- Tema 12 of the Administrativo corps's Anexo I.A ("The Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration: organisation, structure and functions") is not covered: a ministry's current internal structure changes with every reorganisation and has no consolidated BOE text to cite, so the gap is declared rather than filled with unsourced questions. The other 22 temas of Anexo I.A and all 13 of Anexo I.B are covered.
- The Gestión corps's subsequent curso selectivo (up to six months, pass/fail) is a training period rather than a content test, and by its nature has no multiple-choice questions.
- The real Gestión exam offers three options per question; this app always shows four. The mock is therefore slightly more demanding than the real exam, never easier.
- The Transparency and Open Government block (Gestión tema 41 / Administrativo Anexo I.A tema 23) now holds 31 questions and appears as its own topic in Practice and in the flashcards, but it does NOT yet take part in the mock draw: the category weights were derived from each convocatoria's tema counts and sum to exactly 90 (Gestión) and 70 (Administrativo, first part), so giving this block its own weight means taking it from Función Pública y RRHH and from Derecho Administrativo, the blocks that currently absorb those two temas. That rebalance is pending a decision and is declared here rather than applied silently. The Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals, also named in tema 41, remain uncovered for lack of an archived source.

Which exams does this app prepare for?
Both general corps of the Administración de la Seguridad Social, each under its own convocatoria: the Cuerpo de Gestión (subgrupo A2, BOE-A-2025-27067, 526 plazas turno libre and 995 promoción interna) and the Cuerpo Administrativo (subgrupo C1, BOE-A-2025-27158 as corrected by BOE-A-2026-5351, 1,056 plazas turno libre and 400 promoción interna). It is never easier, and we would rather say so than present a format the convocatoria does not use.
Does the app cover the whole exam?
For the Cuerpo Administrativo, yes — both parts are multiple-choice, so all 100 points are covered. For the Cuerpo de Gestión, only the first exercise, which is 50 of the 100 points. Gestión's second exercise is written and read aloud before the board, graded on legal reasoning and expression, and no app can grade free prose against a human rubric. We state that ceiling rather than implying full coverage.
