Welches Grundrecht ist in Artikel 1 des Grundgesetzes der Bundesrepublik Deutschland garantiert?
Based on: BAMF-Gesamtfragenkatalog, Frage 18
Prepare for the German citizenship test, the Einbürgerungstest (Leben in Deutschland), with every question from the official BAMF catalogue. Each one is explained in German, English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian, and the timed mock is scored exactly like the real test: 17 of 33 to pass.
The Einbürgerungstest is the citizenship knowledge test you take on the path to German naturalisation. It is a multiple-choice test of how German democracy, history and society work, set by the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) and drawn from a single public question catalogue. The passes feed into the wider naturalisation requirements alongside the language and residence rules.
You answer 33 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, each with four options and exactly one correct answer. Of the 33, 30 are general questions about Germany and 3 are about the specific federal state (Bundesland) you live in.
You pass by answering at least 17 of the 33 questions correctly. There are no mandatory questions and no penalty for wrong answers, so the practical strategy is simply to maximise your total correct. The nationwide pass rate is high, above 90 percent, because the questions are fixed and public.
The questions are drawn from the official catalogue across three subject areas, plus a small set specific to your federal state.
Yes. The app uses the official nationwide questions from the public BAMF catalogue (the Gesamtfragenkatalog), reproduced unchanged as the licence requires. What we add is our own plain-language explanation for every question, written in six languages, plus extra original practice questions to drill the same topics.
The app covers the 300-question nationwide catalogue that supplies 30 of the 33 questions. The 3 remaining questions come from your own Bundesland and differ by state, so they are not bundled in here; you can review your state's 10 questions directly on the BAMF site. The nationwide questions are where the studying is, and where almost all of the marks are.
Most adults applying for German citizenship must pass the Einbürgerungstest (some are exempt, for example holders of a German school-leaving qualification). The test itself costs 25 euros and is booked at an approved test centre. You usually receive your certificate, the Einbürgerungstest certificate, by post after the centre marks the answer sheet.
Work through the official catalogue at your own pace. The questions stay in German, exactly as on the test, while every answer carries a clear explanation you can read in German, English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian or Ukrainian.
Sit a timed 33-question mock scored like the real Einbürgerungstest, 17 of 33 to pass, drawn across all three subject areas so you rehearse the real balance of the test.
Drill the facts that come up again and again: the Grundgesetz and basic rights, the dates of German history, the institutions and the social system, with spaced-repetition flashcards.
