What CapyMaths is, and what it covers

CapyMaths is a UK primary maths practice app for children in Year 1 to Year 6, with dedicated KS2 SATs Prep and 11+ Maths sections. Every one of its 42,000+ questions is mapped to a UK National Curriculum objective, so daily practice lines up exactly with what children are taught at school. It was created by a dad for his own daughters, and is now on the App Store and Google Play for every UK family.

What does CapyMaths cover?

The question bank spans the whole of primary maths and the two exams families care about most:

  • Year 1-6: 26,300+ questions across number bonds, place value, the four operations, fractions, decimals, measurement and geometry.
  • KS2 SATs Prep: 8,900+ questions across arithmetic, reasoning, fractions, measurement, geometry and ratio, aligned to SATs Papers 1, 2 and 3.
  • 11+ Maths: 6,800+ multiple-choice questions in GL Assessment style, covering number, algebra, sequences, ratio, geometry, data and multi-step problem solving.

How does the AI practice work?

CapyMaths analyses your child’s answers in real time to find exactly where they need help. Smart Practice builds a personalised programme that targets weak spots and adapts difficulty as they improve, using time and skip data to surface hidden gaps. The Retry Zone captures every wrong answer, has your child retry the exact question and then prove understanding on a similar one, with spaced repetition so mistakes come back until they stick.

Features

A complete maths system, on one device

01 / AI

Smart AI practice

The app reads your child’s answers in real time, finds weak spots and builds a personalised programme that adapts difficulty as they progress.

02 / MODES

Three ways to practise

Self Practice for any topic in their year group, Smart Practice for the questions they need most, and timed Challenge Mode to build speed and confidence.

03 / RETRY

Retry Zone

Every wrong answer is captured, retried, and re-tested with a similar question. Two correct and it graduates, so time is spent only on real weak spots.

04 / DIAGNOSTIC

Skills Check

A 10-minute, 23-question diagnostic across the curriculum, one question per topic cluster, that maps where your child is strong and what to work on next.

05 / MOTIVATION

Capybara companion

Children earn River Coins through practice to feed, dress and care for a virtual capybara, with backgrounds, equipment and mini-games that turn “I don’t want to” into “can I do more?”

06 / PARENTS

Parent dashboard & AI reports

Weekly AI-generated reports show strengths, weaknesses and clear recommendations, with a Skills Map and downloadable PDF progress reports.
