The oposición for the Cuerpo de Ayudantes de Instituciones Penitenciarias (subgrupo C1, acceso libre) is convoked by the Subsecretaría del Ministerio del Interior. The current convocatoria is the Resolución de 14 de junio de 2026 (BOE-A-2026-13226), published in BOE núm. 148, offering 1050 plazas.
What is the format of the first exercise (test)?
The primer ejercicio has two separately eliminatory parts, both sat on the same day.
- Primera parte: 120 multiple-choice questions (plus up to 3 reserve questions) in 105 minutes, covering the full syllabus.

Every wrong answer deducts one third of the value of a correct answer, and blank answers carry no penalty (BOE-A-2026-13226, Base 6.3). Each part is scored from 0 to 20 points and needs 10 to pass; failing either part fails the exercise, and the segunda parte is only corrected for candidates who passed the primera parte.
