Wie viele Bundesländer hat Österreich?

Prepare for the Austrian ÖIF Integrationsprüfung A2, the Modul-1 exam you must pass to fulfil the Integrationsvereinbarung. Practise A2 German across all four skills, reading and listening with Austrian-accent audio, letter writing and the speaking test with model answers, and drill the Werte- und Orientierungswissen values test, with every answer explained in German and English. The mock scores exactly like the real exam: each language part and the values part must be passed on their own.
The Integrationsprüfung A2 is the exam that fulfils Modul 1 of Austria's Integrationsvereinbarung (integration agreement). It certifies everyday German at level A2 of the Common European Framework across four skills, listening, reading, writing and speaking, and adds a Werte- und Orientierungswissen part on Austrian values and orientation knowledge. It is set and certified by the Österreichischer Integrationsfonds (ÖIF).
The exam has a language part (Sprachkompetenz A2) and a values part (Werte- und Orientierungswissen). The language part is Lesen (reading, 20 questions, 40 minutes), Hören (listening, 15 questions, about 12 minutes, each clip played twice), Schreiben (a short letter or email, 25 minutes) and Sprechen (speaking, about 10 minutes). The values part is 18 multiple-choice questions worth 45 points in 40 minutes.
You must pass every part on its own, with no compensation between them. Reading and listening are scored together and need at least 25 of 50 points; writing needs at least 10 of 20; speaking needs at least 15 of 30; and the values part needs at least 25 of 45. A strong language result cannot make up for a weak values result, or the other way round, which is why this app scores its mock the same way.
It is an 18-question multiple-choice test on Austrian values and everyday orientation, worth 45 points. Questions 1 to 9 have two options and are worth 2 points each; questions 10 to 18 have three options and are worth 3 points each. The questions are drawn from seven official value areas (Wertebereiche), with at least one question from each area, so the app practises all seven: orientation about Austria, language and education, work and the economy, health, housing and neighbourhood, the principles of living together, and diversity.
You normally have two years from the date your residence permit is issued to fulfil Modul 1 of the Integrationsvereinbarung. If you miss the deadline, the residence authority can impose a penalty of up to 500 euros and it can affect the extension of your residence permit, so most people prepare and sit the exam well within the two years.
The language tasks are built around everyday life in Austria. This app groups its practice, reading, listening and flashcards into the same everyday themes:
No. The official ÖIF test items and model tests are not reproduced here. Every question, reading text and listening script in this app is written from scratch to match the publicly documented format and level of the Integrationsprüfung A2, with a clear explanation for each answer in German and English. Facts about Austria are not copyrightable, so the values questions teach the same knowledge without copying any official wording.
Passing it fulfils Modul 1 of the Integrationsvereinbarung, a legal condition tied to your residence permit and a step toward a longer-term or permanent residence title and, later, citizenship. It shows you have reached A2 German and know how everyday life and the rules of living together work in Austria. That is why third-country residents on an A2 track take it.
The exam is taken at the ÖIF and its certified partner institutes, and the fee is set by the test centre, so it varies; ask your course provider or the ÖIF for current dates and prices. The ÖIF issues the certificate. Always confirm the format, deadline and fee against the official ÖIF page before you book.
Work through original everyday texts and Austrian-accent listening clips, notices, emails, announcements and short dialogues, each with a clear explanation in German and English. Practise at your own pace or sit a timed reading and listening mock scored the way the real exam works.
Learn the structure of the exam letter with model answers at two graded bands and a self-check rubric, then rehearse each part of the speaking test with prompts, useful phrases and model responses you record and compare on your own device.
Drill the Werte- und Orientierungswissen test across all seven official value areas, from orientation about Austria and the rule of law to health, work and living together, with the exact two- and three-option scoring the real values test uses.
Fix the A2 words and Austrian facts you need with spaced-repetition flashcards, an English gloss on every card, then sit a full mock that draws from the whole bank and passes each part separately, exactly like the Integrationsprüfung A2.
