An independent B1 practice app for the Italian CILS B1 Cittadinanza exam taken for citizenship: all four skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking), original questions with it-IT audio, model answers and Italian + English explanations.
The CILS B1 Cittadinanza is a reduced B1-level Italian language exam from the Università per Stranieri di Siena, designed for people applying for Italian citizenship. Since the language requirement was introduced, applicants for citizenship by residence must show Italian at level B1 of the Common European Framework. This app practises all four skills at that level.
The exam has four tests, each worth 12 points (48 in total), and this app practises all of them.
You need at least 7 out of 12 in EACH of the four tests and at least 28 out of 48 overall. The exam does not allow carry-over: if you fail even one test (below 7/12) you must retake the whole exam in another session, because a high score in one skill does not make up for a failed one.
For Italian citizenship by residence the required level is B1 of the Common European Framework (CEFR). The CILS B1 Cittadinanza is one of the certificates accepted; equivalent B1 certificates from other recognised bodies (such as CELI, PLIDA or the state language schools) are also accepted. Always check the current requirements on the official pages.
Original B1 material across everyday citizenship topics: reading passages, listening questions with native it-IT audio, plus writing and speaking tasks with graded model answers and self-assessment rubrics. Speaking is recorded on your device and never uploaded.
Full timed sittings drawn fresh from the bank each time, weighted like the real exam. The guide explains the real pass rule: at least 7/12 in each of the four skills and 28/48 overall, with no carry-over.
Everyday vocabulary and grammar chunks (verb government, connectives, the subjunctive) for each topic, with Italian examples and English glosses, so you build the words and structures the exam expects at B1.
