What is the difference between these tools and your exam apps?
Timing. The exam apps exist to get you licensed and you stop using them the week you pass. These are the apps you open on your first day of practice and keep using for years: the client file, the journal entry, the record you will need if anyone ever questions your work. Same one-time purchase, same offline storage, opposite end of the same career.
Are these the same as the free calculators?
No. The free calculators at /tools/ run in your browser, cost nothing and answer a single question, such as what a notary may charge in a given state. Nothing is saved and nothing is installed. The apps on this page are installed on your phone, hold your actual client or signer records, and are bought once.
Do I have to subscribe?
No. Every app here is a free download with a one-time unlock, and no subscription of any kind. Your records stay readable, searchable and exportable whether or not you ever pay, because locking a professional out of their own history over a lapsed payment is not something we are willing to build.
Where are my records stored?
On your device, encrypted, with no account and no cloud sync. Client and signer records never pass through our servers, which means we cannot read them, lose them or be compelled to hand them over. It also means the backup is yours to keep: export an encrypted file and store it where you choose.
Do these apps make me compliant with my board or with HIPAA?
No app can. Compliance is a property of your practice and your jurisdiction, not of software. What these apps do is make good recordkeeping the easy path: contemporaneous entries, versioned intake, locked records with dated corrections, and tamper-evident history. The obligations under your board rules remain yours, and you should verify current requirements with the board itself.
