What the Celador/a SAS oposición involves
Celador/a is a category of the Servicio Andaluz de Salud, recruited by the Junta de Andalucía rather than by the Spanish state. Its rules are published in the Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía, not in the BOE: the bases generales are the Resolución de 22 de enero de 2025 (BOJA núm. 17, de 27 de enero de 2025) and the temario is Anexo XVII of the Resolución de 30 de julio de 2024 (BOJA núm. 151). There is no BOE-A- identifier for this exam, which is a real property of an Andalusian convocatoria rather than a gap in our sourcing.
How is the Celador/a selection process structured?
It is a concurso-oposición: the oposición phase is worth 50% of the total score and the concurso de méritos the other 50%. Only the oposición phase is an exam, and only that phase is eliminatory. This app prepares the oposición questionnaire; the concurso is scored from your documented merits and there is nothing to practise.
How many questions is the Celador/a exam, and how long do you get?
A theory-and-practice questionnaire of 50 scored questions plus 3 de reserva, each with four alternatives, in 1 hour and 30 minutes. Those are the conditions base 2.2.4 of the bases generales sets for categories in Otras Agrupaciones Profesionales (Grupo E). The reserve questions only come into play if the board annuls a scored one, so 50 is what you are actually marked on.
Why is Celador/a in Grupo E, and does it matter?
It matters because the question count and time depend on it, and no convocatoria document states it in those words. The chain is: the bases específicas require only a Certificado de Escolaridad for Celador/a (base 3.2); Ley 55/2003 places categories requiring only that certification in article 7.2.c); and its disposición transitoria segunda maps article 7.2.c) to grupo E. Each link is verbatim official text, but the endpoint is a derivation. We state it rather than presenting it as something the convocatoria says outright. Do not substitute the Grupo A figures (150 questions, 180 minutes) or the Grupo C ones (75 questions, 120 minutes) that appear in the same document.
How is the Celador/a exam marked?
All SAS test papers use a formula of the type [(A − E/4) × (100/P)], where A is correct answers, E is wrong ones and P the number of unannulled questions. Four wrong answers cancel the value of one correct answer, and blanks do not count as errors, so leaving a question unanswered is better than a blind guess among four options.
What is the pass mark for the Celador/a exam?
There is no fixed pass mark, and any figure presented as one is wrong. To clear the oposición by open access you must reach 60% of the mean of the ten highest scores in your own category (50% for promoción interna), and in no case less than 40% of the phase maximum. The real cut-off therefore depends on how everyone else performs. This app scores its mock against the 40% absolute floor, because it is the only threshold knowable in advance: clearing it is the legal minimum, not a guaranteed pass.
Which temas does this app not cover?
Two of the nineteen, and the app discloses it rather than quietly shrinking the denominator. Tema 12 (communication skills and user care) and tema 15 (patient movement and transfer, anatomical positions, autopsy rooms and mortuaries) have no questions. No official, freely reusable source exists from which verifiable questions on them could be written, and for tema 15 a confidently-worded wrong answer about how to move a patient would be a clinical safety claim rather than a trivia slip. Better absent than invented; study those two elsewhere. Within temas 13 and 14, some sub-topics also have no questions: Critical Care organisation in tema 13, and Outpatients, Pharmacy and Mental Health in tema 14. Both temas rest on article 14.2 of the 1971 Estatuto de Personal no Sanitario, which lists the celador's duties but does not describe those units.

Temas 12 and 15 are excluded by ruling rather than merely unbuilt: no official, freely reusable source supports verifiable questions on them, and tema 15 would put clinical-safety claims in the app. The Grupo E assignment that fixes the 50-question, 90-minute format is derived from a three-link chain of official texts, not stated outright by any single document, and the page says so.

- This app covers 17 of the 19 temas in the Celador/a syllabus (Anexo XVII, BOJA 151 of 2024). Temas 12 (communication skills and user care) and 15 (patient movement and transfer, anatomical positions, autopsy rooms and mortuaries) are not covered. That exclusion is deliberate, not an oversight: no official, freely reusable source exists from which verifiable questions on those subjects could be written, and for tema 15 a confidently-worded wrong answer about how to move a patient would be a safety claim rather than a trivia slip. Better absent than invented. Study those two temas elsewhere. Within temas 13 and 14, some sub-topics of the programme have no backing in the available citable source and no questions were written on them: in tema 13, the organisation of Critical Care units; in tema 14, Outpatients, Pharmacy and Mental Health. The source for both temas is article 14.2 of the 1971 Estatuto de Personal no Sanitario, which lists the celador's duties but does not describe those units.
- This app prepares the OPOSICIÓN stage only (the multiple-choice paper). The process is a concurso-oposición and the concurso half, which scores prior service and training, is the other 50% and is outside this app's reach. A strong concurso cannot rescue a failed oposición either: only those who pass the oposición reach the concurso stage (base 2.3.1).
- This app covers the Celador/a category. It does NOT cover Celador/a-Conductor/a, which is a separate category with its own syllabus (Anexo IX, 29 temas) and its own paper (75 questions, 120 minutes).
- Within tema 3, the Contrato Programa between the Consejería de Salud and the SAS is not covered: the only official publication available carries a licence that bars its use in a paid product, and we found no admissible alternative source. What Ley 14/1986 and Ley 2/1998 do regulate about health-system organisation is written from those laws.
- Within tema 6, the organisation of the Unidades de Prevención in SAS healthcare centres has no questions yet, although we have located and archived the norm that governs them. What Ley 31/1995 on occupational risk prevention does establish is written from the law.
- Within tema 7, the Plan de Igualdad of the Junta de Andalucía's General Administration has no questions yet, although we have located and archived the official document. What Ley 12/2007 on gender equality and Ley 13/2007 on gender violence do establish is written from those laws.
- Within tema 9, the Tarjeta Sanitaria de Andalucía has no questions yet, although we have located and archived the official SAS page describing it. What Ley 41/2002 on patient autonomy does establish is written from the law.
- Real Decreto 393/2007 (the Basic Self-Protection Standard), on which tema 18 is based, was formally repealed by Real Decreto 524/2023 with effect from 11 July 2023. However, the repealing norm itself sets a four-year transitional period during which RD 393/2007 remains applicable, until 11 July 2027. This tema's questions are based on the text in force during that transitional period. If the exam is called after that date, or a new Basic Standard is approved sooner, we will review this tema.
- Within tema 18, Equipos de Primera Intervención (EPI) and hospital evacuation practice have no questions in this app, but they ARE part of the official syllabus and are likely to be examined. The reason is technical: that content sits in the norm's annexes, a format our citation-verification system cannot check as reliably as the main articles. Rather than risk a citation we could not verify, we chose not to write those questions. We recommend reviewing this part with additional material (the norm's own annex, or your centre's self-protection manual).
- Within tema 19, the SAS's Environmental Policy has no questions yet, although we have located and archived the official agreement approving it. What Decreto 73/2012 on healthcare waste management does regulate is written from the decree.

Which exam does this app prepare for?

The 2025 convocatoria offers 1,225 Celador/a places by open access (1,126 general, 87 physical or sensory disability, 12 mental illness) and 175 by promoción interna, from Anexo III of the bases específicas (Resolución de 4 de febrero de 2025, BOJA núm. 26). The 348 places in the same table are Celador/a-Conductor/a, a different category.
