What is the Auxiliar y Administrativo AGE oposición?
It is the selection process for two separate corps of the Administración General del Estado: the Cuerpo General Auxiliar, subgrupo C2, and the Cuerpo General Administrativo, subgrupo C1. Both are convoked under the same resolution, the Resolución de 18 de diciembre de 2025 (BOE-A-2025-26262), issued by the Secretaría de Estado de Función Pública. Sharing a convocatoria does not mean sharing an exam; each corps sits its own exercise, with its own question count, timing and syllabus weighting.
Who runs the process?
The Secretaría de Estado de Función Pública issues the convocatoria, and the Comisión Permanente de Selección runs the selection process end to end, including marking the exams and, later, fixing the raw-score cut-off that corresponds to the official pass mark.
What is the exam format for Auxiliar (C2)?
110 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, in a single sitting split into two parts that are each separately eliminatory. The primera parte covers the organisational and legal syllabus (bloque I) together with psychometric aptitude questions: verbal, numerical and administrative-task reasoning. The segunda parte covers office IT and citizen services: Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet, e-administration and public attention. Each part may also carry 5 reserve questions beyond the scored count, which are only marked if the selection board later annuls one of the scored questions.
What is the exam format for Administrativo (C1)?
90 questions in 100 minutes, also in two eliminatory parts. The primera parte covers the full syllabus, law, public employment and budgets, plus an office IT block (bloque VI). The segunda parte is a supuesto práctico: a case file (expediente) followed by a set of questions that test how the rules apply to its facts, rather than testing the rules in isolation. Each of C1’s parts may likewise carry 5 reserve questions.
How are the AGE exams scored?
Every wrong answer deducts one third of the value of a correct answer, and a blank answer is not penalised at all. That third is exactly the fraction that cancels out a random four-option guess, so a question you genuinely cannot narrow down is worth the same, on average, whether you guess or leave it blank; ruling out even one wrong option tips the balance in the guess’s favour.
What is the pass mark?
Each part of each exam, C2 and C1 alike, is scored from 0 to 50 points, and clearing 25 points is required in every part, since the parts are separately eliminatory: doing well in one does not make up for failing the other. The raw number of correct answers that translates into those 25 points is not published in advance. The Comisión Permanente de Selección sets that conversion after the exam, once it has seen how candidates performed, and the convocatoria only guarantees the cut-off will not fall below 30% of the maximum obtainable raw score.
What topics does the syllabus cover?
Across both corps, the programme runs through state organisation, transparency and open government, administrative law, data protection, public-sector personnel rules, financial management and budgets, equality and social policy, public attention and records, and e-administration. C2’s second part adds the psychometric block described above; C1’s syllabus additionally weights public employment and budget management more heavily, and its second part is the supuesto práctico rather than a stand-alone psychometric section.
